The Center for Sierra Nevada Conservation has been busy in the last week. On Saturday, we were at the Placerville Earth Day Celebration, which was a huge success! Our meadow model was a big hit with the kids and adults alike! It was great to see them exploring the meadow and having fun.
On Tuesday, we headed out to Traverse Creek with an awesome group of volunteers. We were able to install five bollards to protect the creek and the rare and sensitive vegetation in the area from ATV traffic. We also got some encroaching scotch broom pulled. As a bonus, we all got to enjoy our lunches next to the beautiful creek! A big thank you to all of our volunteers for their hard work!
